Question of the day: Which iPad should I buy?
Hello, I was considering buying an iPad for personal use and note taking in class, from the reviews i have read it doesn’t replace a computer of course but seeing as im a casual user and like apple this seems to fit my criteria. it has apps for documents and powerpoints so i find it would work well for school and entertainment. I’m just not sure what I should buy. You see my current library of movies and music takes up around 8 to 9 Gigs. If I were to buy an iPad i would might get more movies but my main concern is apps and 3g, you see all i have owned is a click wheel iPod so i have no idea as to how much space apps take up in general and or how fast they can fill up your iPad. So im at a quandary as to whether i should buy the 16 or 32 gig version. the other thing i was worried about is the 3g model, is it worth the extra 0, I mean i don’t mind paying for the data plan but does it really come in handy? because i do know there are some apps out there that enable it to act as a gps. just curious as to where you people might stand on the point of 3g. otherwise i would certainly like you input as to whether i should get the 16 or 32 gig version, keep in mind that im a student and whatever i buy must be worth it, i don’t want to get something to small or to big and not be able to put it to good use. Thanks.
I dislike the netbook interface, i realize the keyboard size, i don’t mind it, i was just talking in terms of memory. as for my relation to word and powerpoint i was simply referring to the two apps that did similar things, they are called keynote and pages. plus those files can always be converted to .doc and .ppt so that i can read them on a windows computer.

Actually, iWork on the iPad is and is not compatible with Word or PowerPoint.
The virtual keyboard is also very large and unusable. Eg. it is almost impossible to be walking and typing on the iPad.
I recommend you get the iPod Touch instead.
If you want to do Word and PowerPoint, I recommend getting netbook, because of portability.

well i have a hard clear cover for my video ipod…which was great because when i was moving back into my dorm it fell in the parking lot, i was really happy i had that cover or else it would have been bad.
the only problem is it takes forever to get off!
