live.pirillo.com – If things look different in this video compared to others I’ve done, it’s because I have a new laptop stand. I’m not sure if I’ll use it as my primary stand, though. They’re usually designed to help make your notebook more ergonomic and comfortable for people, and helps keep it properly cooled. This video was originally shared on blip.tv by l0ckergn0me with a No license (All rights reserved) license.
Cheap Makeshift MBP Laptop Stand 2

I use my system mostly as a graphics workstation and I noticed it was generating quite a bit of heat, so, after noticing the Belkin Laptop Cooler at Costco for .99, I grabbed it and added it to my stand. This provided just the right amount of extra height and a little more angle along with the obvious cooling benefits.
365 day 61 – needs to be more frankenstein

I’ve desperately been needing to get a new cooling device for my laptop. My 3rd floor room is just a little too warm for the pathetic cooling I had.
One adjustable Laptop Stand by Rubermaid + One 4 in Personal Fan from Target + a few fans taken from an old plate cooler and you get this!
Oddly enough it’s more quiet and does a better job! I think one more of those 4in fans will really do the trick.

Question of the day: What type of laptop cooler would you recommend?
I have a 12 inch laptop that overheats when it’s turned on for a few hours. I would like to purchase a laptop cooler but I don’t know much about them (brands, quality, etc.) Do you have any suggestions?
PS. I don’t want to spend too much money but I don’t want to get a cheap cooler either. Basically something at a reasonable price that works well.
