Kudos to Apple for getting an even larger share of my wallet. When you buy an 80G iPod, the only way you can charge it is through your PC. In order to charge via AC power (say when your getting ready to travel and will not be taking your home machine with you), you have to spend another on a USB Power adapter. These use to come WITH the unit.

Silicone iPod nano Case – Back
The back of Kevin’s new silicone case for the iPod nano. Note the socket for the post that works with the included belt clip (not pictured). I’m assuming the little holes on the bottom left are for a lanyard, though I’d be worried that it would tear through the silicone.

My husband got an ipod not too long ago, and I know he would like to at least be able to listen to it in the car. I would like to get him what he needs for his birthday but I know nothing about ipods or the best accessories to get him for this…any ideas or recommendations?

okay well get in a plug-in so that he can listen to it in the car and also charge it to check out apple.com i have the same thing and i love it it’s great

well with the new technology for ipod’s these days you have a good amount of choices, based on what he likes:
1. car-plug in (so he can listen to it in the car)
2. ihome mp3 docks, which can play your music like a speaker system
3. covers for your ipod, so they dont get scratched
4. arm-band that can carry your ipod hands free (while you run/walk)
5. you might want to check with apple.com’s store to see what else they offer for ipods
